Why WeChat
It is how most business communication happens in China. The group is for questions and member conversations. Email and WhatsApp carry announcements only.
Partners
We work with industry associations, private maker studios and a few select service providers. They may share relevant events, introductions and opportunities, or add you on WeChat. You do not have to accept. We do not give them your email address.
Ground rules
No unsolicited sales, mass friend requests or lead scraping. Members may work on competing products, so use your judgment about what you share. You can leave at any time.

Is it free and conducted in English?
Yes. There is no fee, and English is the working language.
How does WeChat approval work?
Applicants provide their company or project, role, what they are building and how China fits, expected China timing and a WeChat ID. LinkedIn, X and the company website are optional. Tech Buzz China staff manually reviews each request and emails approved applicants with the next step.
Can service providers join?
The member group is not for consultants, recruiters, agencies or vendors seeking leads. We work with industry associations, private maker studios and a few select service providers. These partners may share relevant events and make introductions under the community rules.
Is WhatsApp another group?
No. It is an optional one-way broadcast for updates. Joining requires separate consent, and you can opt out at any time.
Can I leave?
Yes. Email and WhatsApp subscribers can opt out at any time, and WeChat group members can leave whenever the group is no longer useful to them.
